CFI Ontario is also helping us promote the march here on Facebook
Humanists believe in equal rights for all. We are appalled at the faith-based bigotry often directed towards homosexuals. To demonstrate our support for gay rights, and to increase awareness of our organization in the Ottawa community, we will have a group of marchers in the Pride Parade downtown this Sunday (August 30th). The invitation is open to anyone to come and march with us. If you are a member and have an atheist bus T-shirt, please wear it.
The parade starts at 1pm, and will probably last about an hour. The route ends at Festival Plaza by City Hall, where we will have a Humanist Association of Ottawa information table. You will probably want to bring a water bottle.
Following the parade, people are welcome to gather at Evan’s house on Queen Elizabeth Driveway just south of the Queensway for refreshments, to get an early start on the BBQ happening there that day. If you are staying for the BBQ please bring an appetizer, salad, or dessert to share.

HI,
good idea. I am in Quito now enroute to work in a project supported by the Charles Darwin research station in the Gallapapos Islands- Ecuador isnt quite where Ottawa is on this type of thing…good luck….I´ll have access to internet at least on the weekends and will follow develpoments back home…it was fun at the Folk Festival eh!
The slogan is cool, ¨There is no…¨, but I think we should always push the pro human agenda as a priority as you say we´re pro rights for all and especially against other worldy dictates that deprive our fellows of their rightful participation in the life experience..after all its only an aberration that one is a theist ..its natural to be natural and we are naturally caring people in the humanists ass…
