Only the Green Party’s education critic was willing to speak with Xtra about Catholic schools in Ontario but what he says makes lots of sense as do the comments by the Minister of the MCC in Toronto who argues that freedom of religion only means freedom to worship and not to discriminate.
Politicians stay silent on Catholic school funding

As a father who’s son has been denied entry to an Ontario school based on his religion I must say that the experience that I have gone through as a father has been painful.
It is sad to think that my own government would not only allow but fund the discrimination of it’s own citizens. Worse it is children three years old where this discrimination starts.
Catholic education is no different than the segregation of blacks in Southern Ontario and America. Just as they ended for being wrong the segregation that Catholics force on Ontario will end. It must end as it is not acceptable in Canada or Ontario.
What sort of a religion promotes such hatred in the name of their God?
